Configure WebPath Express Grade Level limiters

When students conduct a search in WebPath Express, all databases automatically appear.

You can limit the list of websites to those appropriate for certain grade levels. Also, decide whether students have access to the complete list of websites for a given subject.

Grade-level limiters are the only WebPath Express settings that need to be pre-configured.

  • Exit Universal Search.

note Only administrators have access to the WebPath Express Default Settings.

To set up grade level limiters

  1. Log in as an administrator.
  2. Select Catalog > Search Setup > Enriched Content Searches.
  3. Next to WebPath Express Settings, click Edit.

important By default, all checkboxes are deselected.

  1. Select one or more of the Grade Level checkbox(es) to define what you want to appear in the search results. Selections must be a contiguous range.
  2. Select the Allow students to view all Grade Levels checkbox to let students view all relevant sites, regardless of the selected grade level. There must be a minimum of one grade-level selected.
  3. Click Save.

Grade-level limiter selections determines what students will see in their Universal Search search results.
